How to Control Customer Access with Waivers

This guide explains the different ways you can use waivers to control how customers and members automatically access your centre.

Updated this week

1. During Session/Class Booking You can create a waiver and apply it to a specific session or class. When a customer books that session, they will be required to complete the specified waiver before their booking can be confirmed.

2. At the Point of Sale (POS) The POS settings can be configured to block sales for Passes, Packs, and Subscriptions if there are any outstanding waiver issues on a customer's account. This ensures that customers have completed the necessary waivers before they can purchase certain products.

3. At the Self Check-in Kiosk Your self check-in kiosk can be set up to automatically block any customer from checking in if they have any incomplete or flagged waivers. This provides a clear and automated gatekeeper for entry.

An Important Exception

Currently, there is one exception to the automatic waiver block on Clava: when a customer is checked in manually by an operator via the Session Details page.

On this page, operators have the ability to check in a customer regardless of their waiver status. The waiver status is clearly displayed next to each customer's name, and the operator can proceed with the check-in if they choose. The system will not prevent an operator from checking in a customer who has waiver issues.
