NICAS information
NICAS is a UK based award accreditation scheme - (National Indoor Climbing Award Schemes), which provides access to a diverse range of award schemes: Wild Climbers, NICAS Ascend, NICAS Clip, NICAS Bouldering, and the original scheme for roped climbing, NICAS Climbing.
From NICAS: “Our schemes provide a safe, fun introduction to climbing indoors. NICAS helps learners to develop climbing movement skills and build their confidence, creating a grassroots pathway to additional climbing activities both indoors and outdoors. Climbers can record progress in their own NICAS logbook, giving a clear roadmap to track their climbing achievements and a sense of being part of the NICAS community. Finally, by using a NICAS accredited centre, you can be confident in the quality of coaching.”
Clava supports NICAS through it’s Ascend program as a Base Camp supporter, demonstrating our dedication to making climbing more inclusive for disabled and neurodivergent participants. This funding ensures that climbing walls across the UK have the resources and tools needed to remove barriers and make the sport more accessible than ever.

Customer Type.
We recommend using the Customer type feature to assign a "NICAS" label for customers who are on the NICAS program and then creating Passes, Products and Subscriptions with the restricted NICAS customer type label. This will enable you to to create bookings, passes and memberships just for kids in the NICAS program.
