Creating a Hybrid Membership (Unlimited Passes + Limited Sessions/Classes)

Updated this week

The Clava Membership Tool is highly flexible, allowing you to easily define a membership that combines unlimited access for general entry (passes) with a fixed, limited number of specific sessions (classes).

Here's a step-by-step guide to setting this up:

1. Create the Membership Shell

  1. Navigate to the Products > Passes & subscriptions from the left hand menu.

  2. Click 'Create new'.

  3. Fill in the Basic Details (Name, description, duration, etc.) of the Pass, pack or subscription.

  4. Additional Options - Define options relevant to the product.

  5. Click Create.

2. Define the Hybrid Pricing Option

This is where you set the credits to achieve the unlimited/limited mix.

  1. Click 'Add new pricing option'.

  2. Fill in the required details (Price, Payment Schedule, etc.).

  3. Scroll down to the Usage section. This defines what this membership allows members to use.

  4. Toggle on Assign specific credits.

  5. Set the Pass credits to Unlimited. (This grants unlimited general entry/passes.)

  6. Set the Session credits to 2 (or your desired number).

In this setup, customers get unlimited passes, but they can only book 2 sessions/classes during the membership term.

3. Finalise and Save

  1. Complete any remaining options for the pricing option (e.g., Activation rules, Auto-renew settings).

  2. Click Create new.

You will now see the pricing option show under the Pricing Options section on the page with unlimited general access and a limited, fixed number of session/class credits.
