Clava Fair Access Policy Guide

This guide will help you understand and configure Clava's Fair Access Policy (FAP) to prevent booking abuse and manage member class bookings.

What is FAP?

FAP is a global setting that allows you to limit the number of classes a member can book at any given time. This helps ensure fair access to classes for all members and prevents individuals from booking excessive slots.

Enabling FAP

  1. Navigate to settings > Fair Access Policy.

  2. Enable the FAP option.

FAP and Membership Pricing

Enabling FAP unlocks the "FAP" option within your membership pricing settings. This allows you to:

  • Set Booking Limits: Define the number of classes a member can book at a time (e.g., set it to 2 if you want members to only book two classes at once).

  • Unlimited Bookings: If you set the number of credits to "unlimited" within a membership plan, the FAP option will appear.

Disabling FAP

Disabling FAP removes the booking limit functionality from your system. It also removes any previously applied FAP settings from your existing memberships.

Benefits of FAP

  • Prevents Booking Abuse: Stops individuals from booking a large number of classes, ensuring fairer access for all members.

  • Manages Class Availability: Helps maintain a balance between member preferences and available class slots.
