There are times when a customers membership/subscription will fail to renew.
Clava's built in schedule for retrying failed payments
By default Clava has a pre-defined schedule for attempting to collect failed payments, typically this is due to either an expired card on a customers profile, or due to insufficient funds.
โ
Clava's renewal strategy is based on the total failure count and the last attempt, as follows:
1, next attempt no sooner than next day
2, next attempt no sooner than 2 days from previous failure
3, next attempt no sooner than 3 days from previous failure
4, next attempt no sooner than 4 days from previous - this one is final, if it fails - Clava will terminate their membership/subscription
Customers will always receive an automatic email informing them that there is an issue with collecting payment to give them time to address the issue.
The best thing to do is to contact any customer you know to be directly affected to let them know.
