Overview
Gift cards in Clava allow you to sell prepaid credit that customers with customization values which can be used for classes, memberships, products, or services.
Gift Cards: Guest Checkout
Customers can purchase gift cards via the Service Store or widgets without creating an account. By choosing "Continue as Guest," buyers can quickly complete their purchase and receive an instant email confirmation, while the recipient gets their gift card details immediately. To keep things organised, guest details are still captured within Transactions for easy follow-up.
Creating a Gift Card Product
Navigation: Settings > Gift Cards > Create Gift Card Option +
Gift card creation steps
Gift Card Title
Enter a descriptive name and clear description for your gift card (e.g., "Day pass Gift Card", "Custom value Gift Card"). Remember this will be public facing.
Gift Card Value
Set the monetary value of the gift card. You can create multiple gift cards with different values (e.g., $25, $50, $100). If the gift card is built for the customer to choose the value, toggle the “customer sets a custom amount.”
Applies to
Define what the gift card credits can be redeemed against.
Expiration
Choose whether the gift card expires and set the expiration period if applicable. Note that some regions have legal requirements regarding gift card expiration.
Status
Active for ready to sell. Inactive/draft for the prep work.
