Editing a Customer's Membership in Clava

This article guides you through editing a member's existing membership details, including expiration date, remaining credits, and price (with some limitations).

Steps:

  1. Access the Member's Profile:

    • In the Clava side menu, click on "Members."

    • Search for the member you want to edit and click on their name.

  2. Open the Membership Details:

    • In the member's profile view, click on the "Memberships" tab.

    • Locate the existing membership and click on the three dots (...) next to the price.

    • Select "Edit" from the menu.

  3. Understanding the Edit Membership Panel:

    • The panel resembles creating a membership pricing option, but with some key differences:

      • A notice will inform you about the impact of your changes.

      • Two buttons appear: "Schedule changes" and "Apply now."

  4. Note Regarding Changes:

    • Pricing and Usage: These changes will only affect the member's account after their current membership renews.

    • Options and Restrictions: These modifications will be applied immediately to the member's account.

  5. Grandfathering Option (Optional):

    • Refer to the "Price protecting a membership (Grandfathering)" article for details on protecting a member's current price.

    • Use the "Immutability" toggle to prevent price changes in the parent membership from affecting this specific member.

  6. Edit Membership Details:

    • You can now modify various aspects of the member's membership:

      • Reward Loyal Members: Freeze the price for a loyal member before a general price increase.

      • Increase Credits: Grant the member additional credits.

      • You can edit other available options according to your needs.

  7. Applying the Changes:

    • Decide how you want the edits to take effect:

      • Schedule changes: Select this option if you want the pricing and usage changes to happen only after the member's next renewal.

      • Apply now: Choose this option if you want the changes to options and restrictions to be applied immediately to the member's account.

Remember:

  • Pricing and usage changes won't affect the member until their membership renews.

  • Use the "Immutability" toggle to safeguard a member's price etc from future adjustments.
