  2. Create your age groups

  3. Create Restriction access.

Setup your age group Global settings

Navigation: Settings > Age Groups

  • Enable Minimum Restriction Age

  • Create the minimum age (users below this age will require guardian approval)

Create your age groups

  • Select the “Create new +”

  • Add your first age group by clicking on Create New +

  • Add a Label, make sure this is clear and concise for your staff & customers to understand. e.g. 18+

  • Add a description to clarify your label

  • Add in Minimum and Maximum ages - (if you require just one age say age 12, then set the min to 12 and the max to 13), if you leave the max age field blank there will be no maximum age applied. E.g 18+

  • Click Save

  • Create further age groups as per the gym’s needs.

Reminder: Note: if you do not create any age groups, the default age setting for booking anything through Clava is 18+.

Restricting a pass, pack or subscription by age group

For full support on creating passes, packs or subscriptions check out the help guide: Subscriptions and One-Time Packs Overview.

Navigation: Products > Passes and Subscriptions > create new / alter existing product

  • Choose to either set up or edit an existing membership

  • Setup the Pass, Pack or Subscription to the gym’s needs

  • Enable age restrictions by activating the Age restrictions toggle under Restrictions

  • Select the relevant age group(s) - you can assign more than one.

  • Click on Create new or Save changes

You now have either an entire membership or a pricing option within a membership where age restrictions apply.

When a customer goes to book an age restricted class, and they have the appropriate membership, they will be able to book in.
