Service Types
Updated over a week ago

Clava allows you to offer unique services beyond the standard classes, courses, and workshops. This article will guide you through creating service types for your business.

What are Service Types?

Service types are categories for offerings that don't fit the typical class format. Examples include:

  • Personal Training

  • Massage Therapy

  • Cold Water Therapy

By creating service types, you can categorise these offerings and manage them effectively within Clava.

Creating a Service Type

  1. Access Settings and Service Types

  2. Click "Create new +"

  3. Define the Service Type: Give a title, description, set the status - upload and image (optional)

  4. Save and Publish: Once you've entered the details, save the new service type.

Connecting Services to Memberships

Now with service types defined you can create (or update/add a new pricing option to an existing membership).

  1. Navigate to Memberships: Create a new membership (or edit an existing one)

  2. Set up basic membership: Fill in the required details for the membership and click "Create".

  3. Add new price option: Fill in the pricing option details and under Usage check Services, complete the rest of the membership set up as needed

  4. Assign Services: Allocate specific service types to the price option, under Restrictions and Service type restrictions, select one or more of the Service Types previously created.

  5. Finish by clicking "Create new" or "Save changes"

Booking Services

With service types linked to memberships, members should be able to book appointments or sessions for the services they have access to through their membership.
