How 'Activate on First Use' Works
What is 'Activate on First Use'?
'Activate on first use' is a membership setting that gives your customers flexibility. They pay for their first subscription period upfront, but don't start their regular renewal cycle until they actually make their first booking.
How Does it Work?
First class booking: When a member books their first class using their new membership, their renewal cycle is scheduled to start on that day e.g a member purchases a membership on Monday and makes their first booking on a Friday, that is when their membership will officially begin.
How to enable Activate on First Use
When creating or editing a membership, under Additional Settings toggle on 'Delayed start / First use activation'.
Important to Remember:
This setting is ideal if you want customers to control when their membership starts/renews.
If you want customers to start their renewal cycle immediately after purchasing the subscription, don't use 'Activate on first use'.
