With the Add-on feature in Group Bookings you can setup a range of additional products that a customer can order prior to the Birthday party booking. This is a useful way to increase Birthday party revenue, margin and customer service.
Example Birthday Party extras include: Additional Pizza, Cake, Goodie Bags, Balloons, additional staff and any other fun items you would like to offer.
Steps:
Setup a Birthday Party category in your Categories. See the Class Types & Categories guide for assistance.
Setup the product in your POS
Setup the Birthday party and add the Product range to the Birthday Party offering
Setting up the product in your POS
Navigation: Products > Stock > Products > + Create Product
In essence you are creating a product here in the same way you will create unique products for your retail shop.
The slight differences:
Category. Make sure to enter the “Birthday Party category” that you created earlier, this will make it quick and easy to locate later.
Product location. Make sure to toggle the location that the party product will be sold out of.
Sell online. We recommend that this is toggled “OFF”
Variants: Do not create variants for the product. Variants are only viewable for the POS Module. Therefore if you wish to have 2 types of Cake, (e.g. Chocolate & Vanilla, create two unique products.)
Tax: Ensure you have the correct Tax setup for the item.
Setup the Birthday party and add the Product range to the Birthday Party offering
Navigation: Schedule > + > New Group Session > Create New Group Session Sidebar
In essence you are creating a group booking here in the same way you will create all Group Bookings.
The slight differences:
Add on product items: Toggle this to the ‘ON’ position to pen up the +Add product button.
Select the drop down to open up the Products list
Select the Birthday Party Items category
Select the Products you wish to offer as Add-ons for the group Booking.
The additional Add-On items purchased will show on the Receipt as itemized line items and the Transactions feature.
