Add a Location

This guide walks you through creating a new location in Clava.

Steps:

  1. Navigate to Locations: Open Clava and go to Settings > Locations.

  2. Click "Create location +": This button will initiate the setup process for your new location.

  3. Set Up Location Details:

    • Name: Enter a clear and recognisable name for your location (e.g., Wandsworth).

    • Description (Optional): Add a brief description about your location, particularly helpful if using the service store.

    • General Manager: Select a manager from the list. If no manager exists, click "Add new" (refer to the "Adding a General Manager" article for further details).

  4. Add Location Information:

    • Address:

      • Start typing your postcode in "Address line 1".

      • Selecting the postcode will automatically fill in the address details and display a Google Map for confirmation.

    • Phone Number: Enter the phone number associated with the location.

    • Contact Email: Add the main contact email address for the location.

  5. Configure Services:

    • Amenities: Choose from the existing list of amenities or click directly on "Add new" to create a new amenity.

    • Studios (Rooms): Select or add any studios or rooms available at the location.

    • Class Types: (Optional) Specify if this location is restricted to specific class types.

  6. Set Up Availability:

    • Opening Days & Hours: Define the operating days and hours for your location.

  7. Self Check-in (Optional):

    • Click "Generate" to create a unique URL for your self-checkin kiosk (if applicable).

  8. Drop-in Price (Optional):

    • Set a drop-in price for the location, which will automatically populate in the Point of Sale (POS) when selecting this location.

Finalise and Save:

  • Status: The location is active by default. Toggle it off if needed to make it inactive.

  • Click "Save": This will create your new location and make it available for assigning classes.

How to edit a location

From the locations page, clicking the gear icon for a location will open the sidepeek to enable you to make any changes, make sure to click 'Save' when done.
