Clava Studio Management Guide

This guide will help you add and manage studio spaces within your Clava location.

First make sure you have set up your Locations under Settings > Locations.

What are Studios?

Studios (or rooms) represent dedicated spaces within your location. Linking your classes to specific studios helps with organisation and ensures members know where each class takes place. You can have multiple studios associated with a single location.

Adding a Studio

  1. Navigate to Settings > Studios.

  2. Click the "Create new+" button.

  3. Enter a descriptive name for your studio (e.g., "The Arena", "Dance Studio").

  4. Select the location this studio belongs to from the dropdown menu.

  5. Click "Save".

Adding Space Details to a Studio

Studios can accommodate different types of classes with varying capacities. Here's how to define these spaces:

  1. Click on the name of the studio you want to edit, or click the gear icon and select "Edit".

  2. Click "+ Add space".

  3. Choose the class type from the list (e.g., Yoga, Boxing, Pilates).

  4. Set the number of available places in the studio for this specific class type.

  5. Optionally, enable "Seat selection" if you want members to choose their spot within the studio during booking.

Note: Unlimited capacity is the default setting for spaces without defined details.

Linking Studios to Classes

Every class in Clava needs to be assigned to a studio, even if your location only has one space.

  1. When creating a new class, locate the "Studio*" field.

  2. Select the relevant studio from the dropdown menu that includes all your previously created studios.

Benefits of Using Studios

  • Organised Scheduling: Clearly define where each class takes place, improving member experience.

  • Automatic Capacity: Set default capacities for different class types within a studio, saving time when creating new classes.

  • Seat Selection (Optional): Allow members to choose their preferred spot in the studio during booking (if enabled).

By effectively using Clava's studio management features, you can streamline your class organisation and provide a more informative experience for your members.
