Additional Membership Fees Guide

This guide will assist understanding on setting up all additional Pass, Pack or Subscription (membership) fees, including:

  1. Cancellation fee

  2. Initiation fee

  3. Freeze fee

Cancellation Fee

The Cancel fee is a additional revenue stream for gym’s with a large membership and a potentially high churn rate. They are unique to Subscriptions.

The cancel fee is a one time fee per cancellation, it does not bill on a cycle as the monthly subscription.


Navigation: Products > Passes and Subscriptions > Either Add New Price Option or Edit a previous Subscription.

Setup.

  1. Toggle the cancellation fee to the ON position

  2. Enter the cancellation fee.

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the Edit window

  4. Using the Existing membership update strategy function, decide upon how you would like this edit rolled out.

Initiation Fee

Initiation Fee’s are a simple way to add to a gym’s bottom line and provide a marketing tool for membership drives.

The Initiation fee is a one time fee per membership setup, it does not bill on a cycle as the monthly subscription.

Navigation: Products > Passes and Subscriptions > Either Add New Price Option or Edit a previous Subscription.

Setup.

  1. Toggle the Initiation fee to the ON position

  2. Enter the Initiation fee.

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the Edit window

  4. Using the Existing membership update strategy function, decide upon how you would like this edit rolled out.

Freeze Fee

Freeze Fee’s are a simple way to add to a gym’s bottom line and assist in Membership cancellation.

The Freeze fee is a one time fee per Membership Freeze setup, it does not bill on a cycle as the monthly subscription.

Navigation: Products > Passes and Subscriptions > Either Add New Price Option or Edit a previous Subscription.

Setup.

  1. Toggle the Freeze option to the ON position

  2. Enter the Minimum Freeze Period.

  3. Enter the Maximum Freeze Period.

  4. Enter the value you wish to use for a Freeze Fee.

  5. Scroll to the bottom of the Edit window.

  6. Using the Existing membership update strategy function, decide upon how you would like this edit rolled out.
